Wouldn’t you get piss off if your siblings or parents hog the internet all day with their video streaming and downloads? How does does it take them to finish watching a movie online… That’s like forever… movie after movie.

So recently, I have the same concern about my sister using some Chinese programs to stream videos through P2P sharing. Since I pay for cable internet service, I download at 1.2mb/s  and upload at 20 mb/s, I shouldn’t have any problem with the program right? WRONG. The Chinese programs is more bandwidth hogging than I imagined. It’s called “PPStream.” I am pretty sure many Chinese internet users have heard of this program and it’s a pain in the ass when someone uses it in a shared internet network.

Finally I decided to end this BS streaming crap and found this program called P2Pover on a famous Chinese search engine. This program has the ability to control all devices’ bandwidth within the same network. It even works with laptops, which you can control bandwidth wireless-ly. However, the lowest bandwidth restriction is 10kb/s for upload and 10kb/s for download. If you already have a very slow internet provider, you won’t get much out of this.

This program is totally free, legal and EFFECTIVE. You can get it just by entering “P2Pover” on google and you will see the 1st link that has the program available for download: http://www.brothersoft.com/p2pover-215587.html

There is also a video user tutorial that comes with the program. You can just watch it by opening start>all programs>p2pover.  To cut it short, 1. select your network adapter at 1st time usage  2. set up a Schedule  3. set up a Rule  4. Scan your network and apply the Rule  5. press Start
